Before working with Jihane I was feeling very unhealthy and was having problems with making time for myself during the day.

I had low energy, I was very stressed and I didn't take a lot of joy from activities. I felt like I was treading water.

I was worried that my job is killing me. Aspects of my work that I see are out of my control and the inability to gain control over them were crushing.

I decided to sign up for Jihane’s program because I wanted to find balance with work and family, addictions and lack of energy, but I didn't know where to start or how to be supported. I typically do everything on my own and that wasn't working any more.
My goals were to cut back on booze and nicotine, feel more energetic and become more flexible.

Jihane was great in coaching me and setting realistic expectations for myself. I started to see my health journey as a series of data points, rather than dwelling on one bad day.

Realizing that I need to be more excited about the process rather than the result when it comes to health has been a huge win. It translated to a similar mindset in my business.

The idea that I will never "reach" happiness is something that I really never thought of before, so making each of the steps focused on my happiness has really helped change my mindset.

By the end of our coaching engagement, I had a different approach to stress.
In one instance, I actually took a few hours to hit the pool and stretch, which allowed me to clear my mind and feel better.

I felt more in control of my stress and actually started to ask “is this a snake or a rope?”. I realized that many of my anxieties weren’t actually a thing and I have made real progress during several times that would have been over-stressing situations. A really huge thing for me.

With that, I have been able to start to prioritize my days, not beat myself up about “not getting things done” and started to question if some of my actions are self-sabotaging… Which is absolutely the biggest progress I believe that I could make, as it frees up so much more time and space to actually do things that make me happy.

I really appreciate taking the time in the morning to stretch and prepare for the day. I would say that about 2 hours a day or so of time has been reclaimed, which for me is extremely significant. I spend MUCH less time worrying about things I cannot control, so the efficiency of the time I spend working is much better.

My top wins from working with Jihane were having created space for myself: stretching and meditating every morning, and being much more physically active.

I feel much younger than when I started.

I no longer have problems with mobility in my legs and feel much healthier than when I started. I lost 15 pounds, drink much less and my bursitis is at a 0 versus a 7 on the pain threshold from when I started.

When I contacted Jihane, I was 40 LBS overweight. I was concerned that the extra weight would create pain and restrict my mobility long-term. I didn’t want to put a burden on my life. Losing weight was my top priority and my goal was to lose 10 LBS in 3 months.
When we started working together I was drinking everyday and afraid it might creep in when leaving my business. I wanted to make it an occasional thing.
The dynamic of a family business created stress. I was more reactive, especially on busy days. I wanted to slow down.

When I took the longevity assessment, I was concerned with low energy. Because of risk of dementia in my family, focus, memory and decisions were a concern for me as well.

Working with Jihane, I immediately cut down on drinking, gradually increasing the number of alcohol-free days. As a result, I lost 5 LBS in the first 5 weeks. I noticed feeling more positive, not dwelling on the negative as much. With less drinking and the practice of mindfulness, problem solving became smoother and my relationships got even better. Interactions with my son in the business got smoother too. After 6 weeks, I wasn’t drinking anymore, except for special occasions.

The mindfulness practice helped me slow down the mind. My day doesn’t start hectic and full speed anymore. When I get to the computer, I am calm and I plan better. Through coaching, I became aware of what I put in my body and made some changes I could stick to, even when life happens. These changes were not so hard with Jihane’s encouragements. Having conversations, talking things through and putting plans in place with realistic goals made it easier.

After 2 months of working together, I had exceeded my initial goal and lost 14 LBS. Visceral fat dropped down to normal range. I started moving more. I had less aches and pains and more energy. The more you move, the easier it is to move. When I started, losing 40 LBS seemed like it would take a long time. Now that I lost almost half in only 3 months, it doesn’t seem so far off. I definitely recommend working with Jihane.
